What’ s more, the HDL automation system can preset specific scenes for different activities so that the occupants are able to manage multiple devices by one touch, which greatly increases operation efficiency. For example, when they need to use the projector in the meeting room, just select the “Presentation” mode, then the system will dim down the light and close curtains while turning on the projector; after work, they can select the “Good Bye” mode, all connected devices will automatically shut down, so there is no need to turn off the devices one by one.

A study from Harvard University has found a correlation between air quality in office environment and occupants' cognitive function. The indoor environment with poor air quality could be adversely affecting cognitive function—abilities to respond to and focus on work, so working at a healthy and comfortable place will significantly increase productivity. To create a healthier environment, HDL air quality sensors have been applied to detect and monitor the ambient temperature and humidity in the office, as well as air quality index such as carbon dioxide, PM2.5, TVOC, etc. Once the indoor air quality is detected to be lower than setting value, the system can automatically trigger the ventilation system to improve indoor comfort and health for occupants.
The lighting, like air quality and temperature, particularly affects working environment. With logic setting combining HDL sensors, curtain control modules and dimming modules running in the system, the office will automatically keep the brightness at a constant range while making full use of natural light, and HVAC at the comfortable temperature, therefore to create a pleasant ambience and make occupants focus on their work without being distracted. In the corridor areas, smart lighting system commonly enables the on-demand activation of lighting to save energy, working in coordination with sensors that detect ambient illumination and movement status.
